TIPS FOR SELLING YOUR HOME
There are a lot of things that can be helpful to do when preparing to sell your home. Here are a few tips.
Choose your agent wisely.
Choosing a realtor that is familiar with the area and the market is important. I can help you decide what needs to be done, create a great listing description, and market your house so you get the very best out of it. We will implement all of theses tips and get your home ready to sell.
Declutter and Depersonalize
Clear out anything and everything you don’t need in your home. Less is more. People like to imagine their own furniture and belongings so the more room for imagination, the better! Keep it simple and classy. I can definitely help you decide what should get packed up and what is ok to stay. Take down family photos. Try to keep it as neutral, but as welcoming, as possible!
Make necessary updates
Making small updates to areas of your home like the kitchen and bathrooms can have a big return to you when selling. Painting in neutral colors helps it to look open and clear. Also sprucing up the exterior of your home brings more curb appeal.
Clean Everything
Make sure everything looks and smells clean. If you can, hire a professional cleaner to come in and do a deep clean. I have some great resources for this.
Professional Photos and Staging
Fortunately, I am a professional photographer so this comes with every home I sell without you having to invest in it! Photos make a HUGE difference when listing your home and grabbing buyer’s attention.
Set the right price.
Setting the right price is important. By going over comparable homes together and collecting all of the date we need, we will come up with a strategy that will get your home to sell.
TIPS FOR BUYING A HOME
Get preapproved.
This is an important step to make sure you know what you can afford. It is also necessary to have when submitting an offer on a home. We have great lenders that I can connect you with that are happy to help with this.
Maintain your Credit
Having good credit plays a major role in qualifying for a home purchase. Don’t make large purchases or open lines of credit when in the process of buying if you can help it.
Save!
Costs can add up quickly when buying or selling a home. The more you can save for a down payment, the better. There are also fees for appraisals, inspections, insurances and more that you will need to cover.
There are many other tips I can provide you with and would be happy to help with all of them! This is why having a real estate agent is important. I can help make the process manageable and less overwhelming!
